HAAKE PolyLab OS Torque Rheometer

The Thermo Scientific HAAKE PolyLab Open System (OS) is an innovative torque rheometer platform designed to optimize process engineering applications. Data for melt characteristics, dynamic viscosity under shear load and the effectiveness of additives, heat and shear stability are readily attainable with this system.

Product Detail

The core technology is based on an open industry standard, allowing sensors and systems to be connected for optical, viscosity and spectroscopy measurements.

The modular HAAKE PolyLab can be quickly and easily adapted to the requirements of a specific application. This is enabled by a standardized CAN Open Bus for internal communication and a USB interface for connection to a PC.

HAAKE PolyLab Mixer

The HAAKE PolyLab is an intelligent modular torque rheometer system for the simulation of industrial processes in the lab or pilot plants.  Modular tools with simplified connections and automatic tool recognition mean easy changeover for multiple applications.  The mixer tool enables the batch testing of many highly viscous substances.

Product Detail

Mixer sensors are used to test processes such as the mixing, compounding and plastifying of polymers, chemicals, ceramics and pigments under production-style conditions. Thermo Haake offers a comprehensive program of measuring mixers which can be attached to the Rheocord base unit. These measuring sensors determine the usage of the PolyLab system for your application.

Every measuring sensor contains the necessary measuring, control and monitoring technology for the respective application. Rheomix controls the data administration as well as the communication with the master unit via the data highway. All mixers are coded so that the master unit automatically senses which sensor is connected. The measuring sensor automatically informs the base unit and thus the operator of the configuration i. e. the number and position of the temperature control zones and measuring ports, unit-specific limit values as well as the possible sensor options.

A new concept simplifies handling in the laboratory and enables secure operation. This is characterized by:

  • mobile measuring sensors avoid the necessity of handling of heavy and hot parts
  • integrated heating and cooling circuits reduce the number of plug connections and thus the danger of making incorrect connections
  • several peripheral units such as feeding and post-extrusion units are computer controllable thus meaning better reproducibility and documentation.

HAAKE PolyLab Single-Screw Extruder

The HAAKE PolyLab is an intelligent modular torque rheometer system for the simulation of industrial processes in the lab or pilot plants.  Modular tools with simplified connections and automatic tool recognition mean easy changeover for multiple applications.  The extruder tool enables the analysis of the rheological and processing characteristics of many materials.

Product Detail

Screw plastification - i.e. extruding and injection molding - is the most common method of processing plastics,.rubber, food stuffs and ceramic materials. Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a comprehensive program of measuring extruders which can be attached to the Rheocord base unit. These measuring sensors determine the usage of the PolyLab system for your application. Every measuring extruder contains the necessary measuring, control and monitoring technology for the respective application.

Rheomex controls the data administration as well as the communication with the master unit, the Rheocord base unit, via the data highway. All measuring extruders are coded so that the master unit automatically senses which sensor is connected. Thus it automatically informs the base unit and the operator of the configuration i.e. the number and position of the temperature control zones and measuring ports, unit-specific limit values as well as the possible sensor options. The connected pressure sensors are once again independently coded.
